Just Sharing…is my latest book, arriving on Amazon this morning. It is a collection of short pieces I’ve written through the last few years. Just me, no artificial intelligence.

Frankly, they are a strange combination as they include fiction, nonfiction, a piece that I’ve never understood what it meant or why I wrote it and an unfinished piece that I hope readers will write multiple endings to it.

I could have spent time submitting the more recent pieces individually or collectively to publishers. I concluded I did not want to do that. That action is a reasonable one, but I wanted to both control and experiment with this collection.

Every Tom, Dick, and Samantha publishes work these days. Often the quality shows a lack of editing, grammar, formatting, and other issues that lessen the quality offered to the reader. Occasionally the work is impressive for a particular genre and is then picked up by a traditional publisher.

What I don’t know about this process and many others could fill volumes. I could have waited until I learned more. I could have hired someone to find beta readers, edit, format, publicize, and more. But aside from formatting the…
